About Us

High Raise Asset Management was founded and is led by James Abrams MRICS. With 20 Years of experience in the property industry, James has previously worked with some of the largest private Landlords and Institutions in the UK.

James graduated from Salford University in 2001 with a BSc in Asset Management and Investment before moving to New York City working for Bear Stearns and Deutsche Bank, as well as the Corcoran Group as a Real-Estate Broker.


Returning to the UK in 2008 James became Chartered while working as a Surveyor at Phoenix Beard (now Savills) where he managed portfolios for Columbia Threadneedle & Standard Life. He was quickly recruited by the first of 3 prestigious Family Estates, Grosvenor. He then went on to manage private portfolios for South Kensington Estates and The Freshwater Group.

James also worked in Consultancy for Lambert Smith Hampton during the covid years working with Investment/Fund Managers at Janus Henderson, Mayfair Capital, TH Real-Estate & Nuveen and Marchmont.

Over 20 years James has personally managed over £3b worth of property with over £250m in income.

His Ethos in a word, is Collaberation. Putting the Client and Tenant at the centre of everything, is paramount.

Our aim at HRA is to meet the needs of a wide range of investors simplifying the leasing process and adding value by renegotiating existing leases, overseeing the leasing of vacant space and project managing refurbishments.

A message from our founder

Invention is the mother of necessity. High Raise is fundamentally a collection of property professionals who were at a crossroads. There seemed to be a cosensus that the property industry and market had evolved, with the traditional sectors facing challenges compounded by taxes, rate rises, inflation, high construction costs and new regulation, all set against a backdrop of a complex geopolitical scene.

Many properties are now dated, unsustainable, not tech-enabled, and with loans maturing, many landlords are wondering whether to hold, sell or reinvest. AI is also on the way, if not here already.

So High Raise was started as a small propco in the London suburbs, aiming to assemble an experienced commercial property team, to help owners optimise investments they had acquired or inherited, to simplify the leasing process removing the complexities which can often lead to indecision and ultimately, inaction. We help our clients see beyond legal documentation and pratical on-site issues, to bring opportunities to life.

At our core, we are Asset Managers, believing that deals can be a win-win scenario to suit both parties, after all, a commercial lease is a long term partnership agreement and is the cornerstone of any property investment. Without a Tenant one cannot be a Landlord.

Given our experience and network, we offer expertise both in-house and via our sister companies in every sector and service line, bringing together a knowledgeable, flexible independent group of property professionals to deliver a dedicated service. Our independence means that we are available around the clock operating without corporate restraints.
